From Asia To The Can And Beyond

Two weeks ago I came home from Asia and landed right in the clink for an unpaid traffic ticket. HELL of a segeway, don't you think? I didn't call anyone because I figured it's my problem and I'll deal with it. Five days before my scheduled release my friend found out where I was and saw fit to bail me out. What a pal!

So now I'm the man about town once again, planning my next adventure.

I'm thinking I'll head back to San Francisco after the holidays and see about some seasonal work in Alaska on a fishing rig tender. With funds earned thusly, I'll be able to go back and finish the tour of Asia and maybe even hit Australia and New Zealand.

Hell yeah.

Who's the nigga, bitches?

Chicken Broke Ma Tooth In Hong Kong

Sad, sad news, bitches. While in Hong Kong my ATM card became de-magnetized AND I broke my tooth on a piece of chicken.
SO with no money to pay a dentist, I had to come home. When I get my tooth fixed and get my ATM card replaced I'll hit the road once more. I figure I'll stick around Tulsa long enough for the holidays and then split.
I gotta tell ya, it's been one HELL of a ride up to this point and just because I've been derailed off the original course doesn't mean I'll stop rollin'.
Oh yeah, I now contribute to the PACIFIC TRADEWINDS HOSTEL blog, where a few of us loyalists contribute words on hostelin' it up in San Francisco. We also rap about the rollin' life in general. Check it out at:

Maybe back to San Francisco then up to Canada...yeah, Canada.....

Palm Tree Thermometers and Plastic Banana Harmonicas

I've been on the island of Samui, off the east coast of Thailand, for a little over a week and have seen quite a bit. I've rode an elephant through the jungle, had my pocket knife stolen by a fucking monkey, visited a rubber plantation, seen a shitload of shrines and temples, and spent a lot of time on a very beautiful beach while staying in an honest-ta-gosh hut.

The day after tomorrow I fly outa here to Bangkok where I'll connect with a flight to Hong Kong. I'll be there for two weeks. I have no idea what to expect but that was the whole point, right? After Hong Kong I spend a week in Tokyo before heading home and maybe, just maybe, right into the slammer for unpaid traffic tickets.

At least this trip won't end at a fucking gift shop.
